Does the H.E.R.O. Program work with existing policies?
Yes! So long as current school or district policies use an options-based response protocol. The H.E.R.O. acronym was designed to make the terminology of violence-response protocols kid-friendly and easy to understand. H.E.R.O. Experts can review current policies and assist in updating or aligning responses, language, and more.
Do you have accommodations for students with special needs?
Yes! Our Student Accessibility Guide was developed to provide strategies to ensure equity and access for all students. While not all H.E.R.O. concepts can be adapted, the guide provides alternative strategies or modifications to help students of all abilities respond appropriately to violence.
