Public Schools

The H.E.R.O. Program was designed with public schools in mind. Common Core and State Standards are built into our curriculum, which enables schools and districts to fit the H.E.R.O. Program into existing ELA or SEL time slots. 21st-century critical thinking concepts are incorporated into every lesson, teaching students to work together as a team and be empowered.

Our online professional development course can be completed by individual educators or in a blended-facilitated model. Additionally, teachers have the option to earn professional development units through Brandman University upon completing an extra module in our professional development course.

Upon completion of the H.E.R.O. Program, your school can proudly display the H.E.R.O. Designation Badge on your website, publications, and signage.

The H.E.R.O. Program is allowing us to properly prepare our students should they be in an active shooter situation. We practice how to be ready for an earthquake and fire, but the reality is this is just as important. I couldn’t be more grateful to those who have developed this easy to teach, a nonthreatening curriculum that will allow my students to be safe should they ever find themselves in this situation. As a principal, this is not something anyone hopes to encounter, but it provides me with a bit of reassurance knowing my students will know how to react and what to do in this situation.

Private Schools

Our private school curriculum mirrors the standards of the public-school curriculum, while taking into account the sensitivity of your unique learning environment. Because the H.E.R.O. Program was designed to be implemented via individual teaching styles, the concepts therein can be bolstered to fit the specific needs and beliefs of your school family.

The H.E.R.O. Program has been instrumental in helping our teachers conceptualize how to keep students and classrooms safe. H.E.R.O. stands to keep our children free from violence in and outside of schools. Our school is proud to stand with them to make learning safe and exceptional for all.

After School

Designed for after-school programs, community groups, and religious institutions, the H.E.R.O. After-School Program presents H.E.R.O. concepts in a more simple, interactive format. The after-school curriculum was specifically designed to be taught by staff members with limited teaching experience via guided lesson plans. Worksheets, games, activities are designed to engage the after school “wiggles” and help younger students learn H.E.R.O. concepts in an age-appropriate manner. 21st-century learning concepts are built into the curriculum, including collaboration and problem-solving exercises for older students.

H.E.R.O. - Designated Organization BadgeUpon completion of the H.E.R.O. Program, your organization can proudly display the H.E.R.O. Designation Badge on your website, publications, and signage.

The H.E.R.O. Program was very easy to follow, straight-forward, and the students loved it. The storyline was very much appropriate for their age. The lessons were easy to follow up with and explain to the children so they could have a clear understanding of the concept.  Also, the kids enjoyed the lesson plans along with the activities that came along with them. I would say it was a great hit and the kids loved it!
